1. Title- Tell you what the map is about and what information the map is showing

Usually use a ruler to help find the distance

North/South is divided by the Equator
East/West is divided by the Prime Meridian

Latitude- Lines on a map that SHOW north and south.

Longitude- lines on the map that SHOW east and west.

15. Absolute Location- the exact placement on a map based on the latitude and longitude.
Relative Location- the location of one place in relation to another place. (Ex. The mall is south of the school)
