ANATOMY OF A QUALITATIVE FREQUENCY TABLE START HERE: Data: Tally (count) occurrences of each category of the item. Blue: = 10 Brown: = 12 Green: = 11 Orange: 111 = 3 Red: = 8 Yellow: = 13 f: Frequency of occurrence of a given category or value (based upon a tally or count of individual occurrences of this variable category) Title Color of m&m's in One 1.69 Oz. Bag Color f rf Blue 10 0.175 Brown 12 0.211 Green 11 0.193 Orange 3 0.053 Red 8 0.140 Yellow 13 0.228 Totals 57 1.00 rf: Relative Frequency - number (n) in a category divided by the total number of items (N). Here 10 Blue/57 Total = NOTE: Multiply this by 100 to obtain the percent of all 57 candies represented by the blue color (17.5%) Variable: Color Building a Qualitative Frequency Table: 1) See START HERE.
