2. The concept of The Mole is incredibly useful!
The bad news is that when you first start using it,you won't know what you're doing.
The good news is that by following a few simple rules, you'll be able to do amazing calculations, win friends and influence people (and yes get full marks in a test!).

3. Suppose you were sent into the store to buy 36 eggs
Suppose you were sent into the store to buy 36 eggs. When you picked them up you would get 3 boxes, each containing 12 eggs.
You just used a mathematical device, called DOZEN, to simplify the process.

So Chemists chose to use the term MOLE to represent amounts of matter
Matter being the number of
Atoms
Particles
molecules

The mole is a representative of an AMOUNT of something.
Just as you can have a dozen eggs you can also have a dozen chairs, a dozen people, a dozen stars. So the scientist of the world can have a mole of water, a mole of sodium chloride, a mole of gold.

7. Now I need to show you the number associated with the mole:
gosh darn it that’s a huge number
This number is called Avogradro number and is simplied as 6.02 X1023

8. Definition of the mole
The mole is the amount of substance which contains 6.02 X1023 ( the Avogadro constant) particles of that substance
