16. Dental decay - key points to remember!
Bacterial Disease
Dental decay is the destruction of tooth structure caused by acid
Bacteria mixes with sugar/carbohydrate food sources which lead to the acid attack
Frequency of consumption of sugar and carbohydrates contribute

17. Here is another nice visual that shows the progression of the decay process. If untreated, tooth decay can advance into the nerve of the tooth causing abscess formation.
