What is an interview?
Where have you seen interviews before?

3. Guidelines for Good Interviewing
Try not to say “uh” or “um” or “like”.
Know your invention or topic well.
Think of questions that the judges will ask and prepare a few simple answers.
Make sure you answer the questions without too much extra information.

4. Questions to Ask about Inventions
How did you come up with your idea for your invention?
How does it work?
What is your invention made of?
What problem does your invention solve?
What was your favorite part of the inventing process?

5. Your Turn!
With a partner, you will play the part of the interviewer and the interviewee.
Take turns interviewing each other and giving feedback using the “Constructive Feedback” worksheet.
