Testing and Grading Materials
The materials used in construction must be reliable, this means that when a builder or architect specifies a material they must be sure it is strong enough for the job it is being used for.
For example the timber used to support a floor will need to be stronger than that used for a garden fence.
You will be learning more about the main materials used in construction in the coming homework’s for now you should understand where materials are used in a house.
