2 Introduction The Changes: Three month outcome form no longer in use Hard outcomes collected by text message survey at 3 and 6 months (by telephone call if can not text) Soft outcome collected in week 12 through My Journey on Team Evaluation Form What the new system is trying to achieve: The previous system was not scaleable to six months with out increase in resource for Delivery Partner and Trust staff Collecting six months outcomes understand longer term sustainable outcomes Ensures outcomes are collected in a consistent and timely way Allows us to collect a focused set of relevant & achievable outcomes

5 Documents My Journey on Team Evaluation Form Handed out at end of session Used to recording results of session Two Session Plans – Group and 121 You decide whether to do group or 121 Session plans informed by pilot feedback Learning Curve Posters and Booklets Re-usable scales to help accurate rating of skills on a scale of one to six

7 Running the Session Complete in week 12 How to get accurate scores: Use the learning curve Stress not about being best & shouldnt judge others Dont hand the form out until end of session Rate yourself too Use Examples Discuss how the programme relates to skills Life Satisfaction Difficult question to answer unless explained Think about lives in general & how much they want to change Text message surveys Explain process to inform them of the key points Encourage them to respond Collect up to date mobile details

8 How it fits in Team To be completed in week 12 Does not replace Leaver questionnaire/ other Evaluation form Future Aim- Incorporate with Self Assessment in ILR

9 Key Tasks Run the My Journey Session in week 12 Inform young people about text surveys, encourage them to provide mobile numbers and to reply to text surveys Check forms and return to Princes Trust within two weeks of Team ending (address on the form)

10 Hard Outcomes

11 Text Message Survey Young people surveyed by text message Survey by telephone only for those who cannot text due to disability or not having mobile Find out if they have gone into EETV after finishing Team 3 and 6 months after end of team Interim process: non-responders are surveyed by telephone until texting is embedded

12 How the text survey works Young people receive: Welcome – personalised with name & programme Questions it stops if they dont answer routed by answers given (e.g. in a job - which industry?) opportunity to provide feedback Thank you text Its free & no credit needed Respondents entered into monthly prize draw FAQs on www.princes-trust.org.uk/surveys www.princes-trust.org.uk/surveys

14 Key Tasks for Team Leaders Tell young people about text surveys Ensure understanding of process Encourage responses by explaining usefulness Collect mobile numbers at end of Team Check mobile numbers of young people due a survey if still in contact with them and tell The Princes Trust of new numbers when sent lists Telephone non-responders of text surveys if sent a list Only until text message processes are embedded Script to follow with key questions Spreadsheet to record answers
