Ingredients 5-6 apples 1 cup white sugar ½ cup light corn syrup
¾ cup water 4 drops red food coloring

Instructions Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper. Insert craft sticks into whole, stemmed apples. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar, corn syrup, water and food coloring. Stir ingredients together but after this point…

Instructions *Do NOT stir mixture!!*
4. Heat mixture to degrees F (candy thermometer) or until a small amount of syrup dropped into cold water forms hard, brittle threads. 5. Remove from heat.

Instructions 6. Holding apple by its stick, dip in syrup and remove and turn to coat evenly. 7. Place on prepared sheets to harden.
