North Port - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - THE CHALLENGE North Port moves 5 million containers per year. (1) Containers are removed from ships and placed in a location on the port for trucks to later pick up and take away from the port. (2) Containers are trucked to the port and placed in a port location for later loading on a ship. The challenge at every port around the world – the container location is recorded by the mobile crane operator. This handwritten note is later entered into the port manager’s computer. A process open for errors.

North Port - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - THE SOLUTION A camera is placed on the mobile container carrier. The operator snaps a picture of the ISO Container Number. The operator also notes the container location by selecting the location information on a touch screen in the mobile carrier cab.
The Container ID picture, and location information, is transmitted immediately to the Rapid ID on-line picture extraction system. The ID information is extracted from the picture. The ID and location information is transmitted back to the port manager. The port files have accurate container location information – on-line for Customs and shippers.

5. Intermodal Container Location - Example
Costs and Revenue: The current server / extraction / database system is operational. System cost is 50% of the NET revenue from each account. The cost is payment for the software developer and support. Revenue is forecast at North Port, at $0.10 per container. 5 million containers per year provides gross revenue of $500,000 per year. This is one port of hundreds of ports around the world. No other company offers ISO Container ID Extraction.

7. Sarbanes-Oxley Act Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance
The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (Pub.L , 116 Stat. 745, enacted July 30, 2002), also known as the Public Company Accounting Reform and Investor Protection Act of 2002 and commonly called Sarbanes-Oxley, Sarbox or SOX.
To comply fully with SOX, companies must have complete visibility and traceability of their corporate assets for better management, accounting and reporting purposes. Companies now have to apply the same transparency and visibility of hard goods as they do cash. Tracking assets gives corporations the enhanced ability to accurately monitor and report inventories in a timely manner.
