2. Binoculars
Most essential thing to bird watching. Choose ones that work for you.

Most people fee like see birds better using magnification of 8 x or 10 x.
Lower magnification binoculars greater is field view to use spot fast moving birds.
If you have field view that is to wide it can distort image.

3. Spotting Scope
If get serious about bird watching and you can only get so close with binoculars. Good thing about spotting scopes are light weight and have amazing magnification. You have continue adjust image erecting prism system to see bird from a long distance clearly.
Spotting Scopes can have magnification 60 time more then binoculars

4. Digiscoping
You can take pictures of birds from your spotting scope using a telephoto lens.
You need have correct attachments to do this from spotting scope

5. Camera
Point shoot cameras are good when your close to birds and if your zoom in lens.
More expensive camera can bring closer to birds because of telephoto lens

6. Birding apps
have found some of the new birding apps to be a nice addition to my traditional field guides for both visual and song ID.

7. Keep Records
Enjoyable moments create memories. To enjoy bird watching ensure you keep a list of places you have visited and the types of birds you found in the places. With this, you will be able to recognize rare birds that have very special characteristics. This can be shared with other bird watchers who you can use it as a guide to their trips.
