TEL (technology enhanced learning) is the support, through technology, of any learning, teaching and/or assessment activity. The biggest challenge is how to integrate technology in a meaningful way. Pedagogy before technology

How do learners learn? How can you utilise learning technologies to...
Generate interest and enthusiasm? Give students learning by doing experiences? Create digesting opportunities, helping students to make sense of what they are learning? Provide students with feedback? Pedagogy before technology Phil Race 2002

Gathering feedback during class
Socrative: Room Log in, run through different question types, give them chance to try it out as students, ask how they could integrate it (thinking of SAMR) Classroom assessment techniques (CAT) are relatively quick and easy formative evaluation methods that help you check student understanding in “real time”. These formative evaluations provide information that can be used to modify/improve course content, adjust teaching methods, and, ultimately improve student learning. Turning point is another one – I believe someone will be talking on this later so I won’t get into it now. Basically it works with ppt and the students have physical clickers or can use their phones.
