2 Sensory Receptors Mechanoreceptors Thermoreceptors
Most are found in the skin, but some can be found in the hair as well They are sensitive to mechanical stimuli such as pressure, gravity, and sound waves Thermoreceptors These are also found in the skin They are used to detect hold and cold temperatures

3 Sensory Receptors Chemoreceptors Photoreceptors
These are found in the mouth on the tongue, and in the nose They are used to smell and taste substances Photoreceptors These are found in the eyes These receptors absorb light energy and trigger action potentials. They help us to see.

4 Sensory Receptors Pain Receptors These receptors are found in skin
They detect severe heat and pressure and chemicals released by inflamed tissue The free nerve endings allow us to feel pain

5 The Eye
