This week we have been learning…
This week, in our writing, we have continued to follow the story of Little Red Riding Hood. We have ben able to use adjectives to describe a new setting, some of us have been able to use similes. We have planned our own version of Little red Riding Hood, written first draft and begun editing this to make a published piece for our display.
In Maths, we have continued to understand addition and subtraction by looking at related facts. We have been able to use manipulatives and number knowledge to find number bonds to 100. We have be able to find ten more or less than any number by using our place value knowledge.
In our inquiry sessions we have investigated what rights children have and created freeze frames and presentations to show our learning. We have explored healthy eating and how we can encourage this in our everyday lives. We have been able to plan a sandwich, we shall make these next week. We have been learning about how we could make our school better, we have decided to make a school council and advertised this using posters throughout the school. The vote will be held next week.
