1. Newsletter April 2017 Welcome to our first Newsletter for 2017
We are hoping to continue our newsletter on a monthly basis and hope that it is keeping you very well informed!
Our new surface is well underway and nearing completion. It is all looking amazing and games will be able to recommence shortly.
We are hoping to introduce some new competitions this term with Juniors competing in Mareeba if we can arrange this with their head coach. We have also had some interest in Cardio Tennis so we will look into how we can introduce this as well.
Could we please ask parents picking up & dropping off on a Monday afternoon to be very careful and aware that there is other children running around the grounds, just until we can sort better parking . We do not want any accidents!
TRC has removed the trees from the side of the tennis club as they were concerned for the approaching cyclone and the tree roots have cracked the concrete in the club house as well as they were rusting the roof. They have informed us that they are looking to replace them with a more suitable tree such as Lily Pilys.

At our AGM Peter Johnston , our Treasurer resigned from the position, so we have been looking for someone to take over this position. It is with great pleasure that we announce Asha Davidson who has happily stepped into this position.
Community Play Program that focuses on Blue, Red & Orange Hot Shots – 4pm till 6pm Monday
Fast4 Program 6pm -8pm for adults
Currently the membership is sitting at 50 members and we would love to keep the memberships rising.
We are still encouraging all members to join Tennis and then join their club via the Tennis Qld website so that we are eligible to receive our $5 reward per member. If you have joined already, you should have been receiving some s from the club.
Thanks to Tableland Regional Council for a Grant for $919 to cover cost of purchasing club shirts, they will be ordered shortly. We don’t have a lot of sizes yet until we can order more.
