2. What is endometriosis?
A condition where tissue that is similar to the lining of the uterus is found somewhere else in the body
Endometriosis is most commonly found in the following places:
-ovaries
-fallopian tubes
-surface of the uterus
-bowel
-membrane lining of the pelvic cavity

3. Possible causes 
There is no official main causes of endometriosis, but there is an old theory that suggest it is caused by a process called 'retrograde menstruation. This is when menstrual blood flows back through the fallopian tubes, into the pelvic cavity instead of leaving body through the vagina.
-environmental toxins

4. People affected by endometriosis
-women between the ages of during their reproductive years
-in some cases may start as early as a girls first period
-certain genes may cause women to develop the disease
-higher risk of developing endometriosis if mother or other family members are affected by it
-approx. 176 million women in the world are affected by the disease

5. Discovering endometriosis
-it was first discovered microscopically by Carl von Rokitansky in but was documented in medical texts over 4000 years ago
-historically women with symptoms of endometriosis were treated with:
-leeches
-chemical douches
-pregnancy
-hanging upside down
-killing due to suspicion of demonic possession within the females body

6. Symptoms Some of the signs and symptoms of endometriosis include:
-pelvic pain
-pain before/during/after menstruation
-painful urination
-pain during or after sexual intercourse
-pain in lower back region
-diarrhea or constipation
-heavy/irregular bleeding during menstruation
-infertility

7. How endometriosis affects body systems
The two main body systems that are affected by endometriosis are: -reproductive system -digestive system It affects the reproductive system because the disease can cause infertility due to the distortion of the tubes and ovaries It affects the digestive system because endometriosis causes painful bowel movements and symptoms similar to a bowel disorder.

8. Diagnostic test used to identify endometriosis
The diagnostic test to identify endometriosis is a laparoscopy which is when a doctor looks down the abdomen with a camera, usually through the bellybutton, and takes a sample of suspected endo lesion

9. How does endometriosis affect everyday lives?
Endometriosis affects the lives of those with the disease in the following ways:
-painful periods
-infertility (cannot have children)
-diarrhea or constipation
-painful sex

10. Cures/treatments/prevention
Cures/treatments include:
-contraceptive pills
-surgery
-non steroidal + inflammatory meds
-pregnancy can possibly help cure endometriosis 
-horomone therapy
Ways to lower your risk of getting endo:
-stay at a healthy weight
-stay physically active
