Course Description Year 9 Improving Sports Performance is aimed at students who are passionate about Sport. The unit will improve your understanding of: The fitness required to play different sports and how to test your own personal level of fitness How to design a basic training program to improve your skills and fitness in your chosen sport. Eating and Drinking to win – what, when, how much should you eat and drink when training and playing sport. Prevention, treatment and recovery from common sports injuries.

Subject pathway…. Year 9 Improving Sporting Performance can lead to: Yr 10 Physical Education (Human Movement) VCE Units in Physical Education Increasing student knowledge of careers that that have a Health, Physical Education, Sport and Fitness Industry focus

No extra activities or costs
All lessons are completed at Nagle as part of the students normal timetabled classes.
