On this day in 1994, the singer Justin Bieber was born. As he was growing up, Bieber learned how to play the piano, drums, guitar, and trumpet. Do you play a musical instrument? If yes, what do you play and why? If no, what would you like to play and why?

Today is “Read Across America Day” in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  Explain to a younger student why it’s important to learn how to read.

On this day in 1847, inventor Alexander Graham Bell was born.  Bell is probably best known for his development of the telephone.  What do you think our telephones will be like in 20 years?
