Overall Goal: To explore and implement strategies to monitor and improve the academic performance of our students various subgroups so that all EHS students are college and career ready graduates Today’s Objective: Develop a SMART Goal to target improvement of academic performance of our students in the various subgroups so that all EHS students are college and career ready graduates. 4 Next steps—generating an AC Process SMART Goal
Specific Clear, concise, and aligned to your Focus group’s area of needs Measurable There is established baselines or concrete criteria from which to monitor the progress Attainable You believe that with effort and intentionality the goal can be accomplished Relevant Your goal should focus on outcomes and results rather than intentions Timebound Your goal should include specific timeframes for when each action will be taken and monitored

Data Analysis for Focus Group Strengths Inferences Needs

7 STeP 3: Set, Review, Revise Smart Goal
Example: By the end of the , the ELA CAASPP results will show a 5% improvement in students scoring Standard Met or Standard Exceeded level from 64.7% to 69.7% and correlating EAP scores of students scoring ready on the Early Assessment Program for college level English from 35.4% to 40%. (SPSA Goal for )
