Office Diversity, Inclusion and Equal Opportunity (ODIEO)
From April, the USMA EO office conducted the Equal Opportunity Leaders Course (EOLC) at the United States Military Prep School. The course entailed 60 hrs. of instruction and activities that was facilitated by MSG Oxendine, USMA Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) and SFC Brown USCC EOA personnel were trained. Of the participants, 4 were from USCC, 3 from IETD, 2 from DENTAC, 2 from MEDCOM, 1 from the USMA Band, and 1 from HQ’s Staff. This course is intended to prepare Equal Opportunity Leaders (EOL) to assist their commanders in developing and implementing his/her EO program. This course is also designed to help EOL’s identify and deal with instances of unlawful discrimination, and other EO violations and problems. Additionally, this course is intended to stress the Army’s zero tolerance policy toward discrimination and ensure that the Army’s environment is safe and keeps to the highest standards.
