2 One Voice Initiative Purpose: Unite the Roofing Industry by Speaking with One Voice Contractors, manufacturers, distributors and other industry participants align on key issues Focus on issues with broad agreement within our industry Workforce Development Regulations Tax Policy Other topics as identified by industry stakeholders United action is needed to maximize roofing industry influence in Washington, DC

3 One Voice Initiative Spring 2018 “One Voice” Roofing Industry Washington, DC Fly-in Goal – Roofing industry speak with one voice on Capitol Hill Focus on issues that unite our industry Communicate top priorities to policymakers in Washington, DC 1-2 day advocacy event with focus on Congress and administration Likely areas of focus: Workforce development Tax policy Regulatory reform

4 ROOFPAC Collaboration on ROOFPAC between NRCA and RCMA
ROOFPAC is NRCA’s political action committee NRCA currently raises $400,000 per election cycle for ROOFPAC PAC funds must be personal contributions, not corporate funds ROOFPAC supports pro-roofing industry congressional candidates ROOFPAC has been positioned as “the voice of the roofing industry in Washington, DC” Goal is to grow ROOFPAC in order to expand roofing industry influence in Washington, DC

5 ROOFPAC Collaboration between NRCA and RCMA on ROOFPAC
Enter into Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) MOU outlines how partnership will operate RCMA raises personal funds (“hard money”) from members directed to ROOFPAC RCMA can direct ROOFPAC checks to congressional candidates of its choice RCMA is responsible for adhering to all applicable FEC regulations RCMA also provides corporate funds (“soft money”) to help support ROOFPAC
