6 A Basic Communication System SourceTransmitterReceiverDestination Channel Source of information e.g. voice, video, data, etc. Generally takes information converts to a signal that can be transmitted through the channel. Wired, wireless, Fiber Optic Converts electrical signal back to information. Receiver of information e.g. voice, video, data, etc.
