DLR NOTES- July 30, Subjects Noun: Refers to words that are used to name persons, things, animals, places, ideas, or events. Pronoun: A part of a speech which functions as a replacement for a noun. Action Verb: Shows an action (ex: jump, run, laugh) Helping Verb: comes before the main verb and makes it more complete (ex: will jump, have run, can laugh)

DLR- Tuesday, July 31, 2018 In each sentence, underline the subject and circle the verb(s). Then label the subject as either a noun (N) or pronoun (P). Label the helping verb (H) and action verb (A) She had decided on IU, but now she may change her mind. Jan strolled around the park happily. The startled deer ran away from the car. My pale skin was burning in the hot summer sun. The driver operated the forklift like a pro.
