3 What is IP Telephony? Translates voice conversations into data packets and transports over data network (i.e. NUSNET) using Internet Protocol (IP) – i.e. VoIP. IP Telephony is VOIP in the Enterprise (NUS). Current Singtel PhoneNet Service New Campus IP Telephony Service

11 How We Are Affected New prefix 6516 allocated All extensions preserved Seamless migration to new prefix 6516 and 6874 concurrently available for 10 months (Sept 2005 to June 2006) Called Number Announcement for 6874 in May & June 2006 Four-digit dialing across extensions with PhoneNet and IP Phones Fax, direct lines & non 6874 phones not upgraded Availability of analogue lines for backup
