1. Plasma is the liquid part of blood; water, glucose, nutrients, hormones, and gases 2. Red Blood Cells carry oxygen throughout body; made constantly by the bones; last about 120 days 3. White Blood Cells fights bacteria, fungi, and viruses; last up to a few weeks; more are made when person is sick 4. Platelets odd-shaped, sticky substance that help blood clot Not all blood is the same. Transfusions from one person to another could be deadly if their blood types are not matched. Blood Parts
