Purpose Resolve the conflict Emphasize Moral
Does not have to be happy, but does need to be resolved – tie up loose ends. Emphasize Moral Readers should understand the point or lesson. Be subtle. Don’t just say it.

Things to consider… Denouncement – Realization – Epiphany -

Tips Don’t preach – deliver your theme subtly – don’t come out and say it. Reader can be satisfied and still left wondering – ending doesn’t have to be completely neat and tidy. You can leave room for another story without ending on a cliff hanger.
