General Procedure of the Selection
Candidates for the host city submit documents with requested information to the IOC. The IOC evaluates each candidate city based upon these information and selects which cities will be finally considered in the election of the host city. The final candidate cities make presentations to the IOC Session at which the host city will be elected. IOC members vote in secret ballot as many times as necessary, each time eliminating the city with the least vote. The final host city will be the city with an absolute majority of votes.
