REFERENCE DIVISION Location: NAC 2 nd Floor, Reference Desk Hours Telephone: (212) 650-7612 Reference librarians will assist you in the use of materials in the library. Access to and assistance with using the Internet and the World Wide Web for scholarly research and communication is also available in the Reference area of Cohen Library.

CIRCULATION/ BORROWING Location:NAC 2nd Floor Hours: Open all library hours Telephone: (212) 650-7155 A valid ID is required for borrowing. A barcode on the back of each ID needs to be validated at the City College Library Circulation desk before borrowing is allowed at any of the CUNY Libraries. INTERLIBRARY LOAN Location: NAC 2nd Floor – Circulation Desk Hours: open all library hours Telephone: (212) 650-7616 Students and staff may obtain materials not owned by the Library for purposes relating to research or academic studies. Students with valid City College ID may use interlibrary loan services.

CLICS Books checked out at City college Library may be borrowed from another CUNY library using the CLICS service. Search for the book in the CUNY Union Catalog. Click one of the holding libraries link and click 2. Request. Type your barcode and enter your barcode again as the password. Select the library where you will be picking up the book and click Go. An email will be sent to you informing you of pick-up date. Expect to receive the book in approximately 5 business days. More details: CLICSCLICS

RESERVE BOOKS Course materials placed on reserve by the instructors are available at the Circulation Desk. Students must present a validated ID card at the Circulation Desk in order to borrow. Two hour loan period Materials may not leave the library Call numbers for reserve items can be found in CUNY+.

UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS Location: NAC 2 nd Floor Hours: open all library hours Telephone: (212) 650-5073 Collection Focus Federal government depository library receiving 50% of everything published. Collection supports the curriculum of the college and surrounding communitys needs for government information. All government publications acquired since 1976 can be identified in the online catalog, CUNY+.

ARCHIVES AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS Location: NAC 5th Floor Hours Telephone: (212) 650-7609, Fax: (212) 650-7604 Collection Focus Records and correspondence of permanent value from the departments, offices, and programs at City College. Personal papers of alumni and faculty, especially material which documents their association with City College Photographs: prints, negatives and slides pertaining to the College Audio tapes and videotapes of College events Biographical material about alumni, faculty, and administrators. Blueprints and drawings of College buildings and facilities College memorabilia: programs, fliers, printed ephemera, pins, insignia, scrapbooks, etc. College publications

METRO LIBRARY REFERRAL As a member of METRO, the Metropolitan New York Library Council, the City College Library can refer patrons with highly specialized requests to other METRO participants. Our policies are governed by the regulations established by METRO, which can be found in the METRO Directory, available at any City College library reference desk. PCs AVAILABLE IN THE LIBRARIES: PCs are available on the 2 nd floor of the Cohen, Architecture, Music, and Science/Engineering libraries. Printers are available in the libraries. Library computers have access to the web. Word processing on all library computers.
