Leaders’ Statement – Permanent exchange of information and effective cooperation: contact points; joint needs assessment and make use of all tools available and financial assistance Limiting secondary movements by discouraging movements to another border Providing shelter and rest to refugees Managing the migration flows together: registration, exchange of info, swift return policy Increased efforts for border management and tackling smuggling and trafficking Information on the rights and obligations of migrants and refugees : ‘no registration, no rights’ Commission to monitor implementation on an weekly basis

II. Implementation – DG EMPL
Commission services missions to Member States and third countries (incl. DG EMPL): missions to HR, SI, EL, AT, RO, HU,…. Monitoring Committee meetings aim is to use the different EU funding instruments for contributing to tackling this challenge: needs assessment and coordination are key
