Combining sentences Write ONE sentence. In the sentence, give the name of your hometown. Example: “My hometown is……..” 2. Write another sentence that gives a general adjective to describe your hometown 3. Now, ONE sentence that combines 1 and 2. Example, “My hometown is …… , and ……..

COMBINING SENTENCES (comb.)
What? 2 short sentences…. I ate an apple. You ate a pear. … are combined into 1 sentence. I ate an apple, and you ate a pear. The ILC is in C5. It is next to a lift. P P = punctuation mistake NO!! I ate an apple, you ate a pear. OK : I ate an apple. You ate a pear. (full stop) OK : I ate an apple, and you ate a pear. (, CW) , and , but , so because (cw) = connecting words
