Warm Up 11/27 Answer these questions as they pertain to all five senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste): Remember that everything that happens in a book/play is intentional. In your opinion, what effect is the playwright going for by beginning his/her play at night? What about including a ghost in the very beginning? What effect does that provide?

Translation activity We will begin by translating the scene together. After the class is comfortable, students will break up into groups and translate with each other. Find and read a summary of your assigned scene, and then Translate the text, part by part. Identify 5-10 lines (or even partial lines) that you feel are most important to the PLOT of your assigned scene. You can work with groups of 3-4 to do this. You have the rest of the class period. Go!
