1 He is Risen ! The Final Proof

2 What’s the pivotal point in your life ?
The pivotal point in nations’ history ? What is pivotal to global history ? The pivotal point of universal history ?

3 The resurrection of Jesus is the pivotal event in all
of human history. Jesus change everything for everyone.

4 I Peter 1: 21 For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you 21 who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.

5 Isaiah. 25: 8 He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. Luke 24: 27 Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.

6 John 2: 18-22 Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up again Matt. 16: 21 From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day.

7 John 10: 17-18 For this reason the Father loves Me, because I lay down My life so that I may take it again No one has taken it away from Me, but I lay it down on My own initiative. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again.

8 Acts 2: 23-24 This Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. 24 But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.

9 occurred in an evil but unmiraculous fashion.
I. The sacrifice of Jesus, occurred in an evil but unmiraculous fashion.

10 Jesus was arrested at night, away from the eyes of the crowds.
He was taken to a show trial to provide a pretense for murder.

11 Knowing Jesus was innocent, Pilot reluctantly agreed to
crucify Jesus for the Jews.

12 In response to his faith, Jesus forgave the sins of the thief under the old law.
Remember : Luke 5: 24 "But, so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins," — He said to the paralytic — "I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher and go home."

13 death, but was buried with respect and honor.
II. Jesus died a shameful death, but was buried with respect and honor.

14 Both Pilot and the Jews were surprised at how quickly Jesus had died.

15 John 19: 31-34 Then the Jews, because it was the day of preparation, so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath ( for that Sabbath was a high day), asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first man and of the other who was crucified with Him; 33 but coming to Jesus, when they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

16 Mark 15: 42-45 When evening had already come, because it was the preparation day, that is, the day before the Sabbath, 43 Joseph of Arimathea came, a prominent member of the Council, who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God; and he gathered up courage and went in before Pilate, and asked for the body of Jesus. 44 Pilate wondered if He was dead by this time, and summoning the centurion, he questioned him as to whether He was already dead. 45 And ascertaining this from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.

18 happened at the time of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
III. Many miraculous events happened at the time of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

19 Matthew 27: 45 Now from the sixth hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour. ( Symbolizing the separation from God by sin. ) Mark 15:34-35 "ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" which is translated, "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?"

20 The veil of the temple was torn
in two from top to bottom. Mt. 25: 51a

21 There was a severe earthquake.
Matthew 25: 51b … the earth shook and the rocks were split. These two together would cause fear even in the hearts of the brave.

22 Amos 8: 7-9 The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob, "Indeed, I will never forget any of their deeds. 8 Because of this will not the land quake and everyone who dwells in it mourn? Indeed, all of it will rise up like the Nile, And it will be tossed about and subside like the Nile of Egypt. 9 It will come about in that day," declares the Lord God, "That I will make the sun go down at noon And make the earth dark in broad daylight.

23 The tombs were opened and many holy ones came forth
to make appearances. Matthew 25: 52-53 The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

24 IV. Jesus was resurrected
in His body … He was not just a spirit.

25 Matthew 27: 62-66 Now on the next day, the day after the preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together with Pilate, 63 and said, "Sir, we remember that when He was still alive that deceiver said, ' After three days I am to rise again.' 64 "Therefore, give orders for the grave to be made secure until the third day, otherwise His disciples may come and steal Him away and say to the people, 'He has risen from the dead,' and the last deception will be worse than the first." 65 Pilate said to them, "You have a guard; go, make it as secure as you know how." 66 And they went and made the grave secure, and along with the guard they set a seal on the stone.

26 What’s

27 The guards were paid to make a false report.

28 The resurrection of Jesus happened exactly as God planned it.
Acts 2: 23-24 This Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. 24 " But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.

29 The resurrection is the ultimate proof that Jesus
is the one all-powerful God. Roman 1: 4 Who was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ our Lord,

30 Jesus is the source of all life. He offers you eternal life.
Will you accept it ?
