VERBS DEFINITION:- A verb is often defined as a word which shows action or state of being. The verb is a heart of sentence.

TRANISITIVE VREB These are action verbs that have an objects to receive the action EXAMPLES: Ali hit the ball. (a direct object ball receive the action of verb hit ) Jameel kill the tiger. She baked some cookies. I moved the chair. I rode the bicycle.

Intransitive verb Definition:
These are action verbs but unlike transitive verbs, they do not have an object receiving the action. EXAMPLES: The bird sang.(no word after verb sang) I laughed. I cried. The sun set.

Auxiliary verb DEFINITION: A verb is auxiliary when it
helps the principle verb. EXAMPLES: Ali was writing a poem.( was=auxiliary, writing=main verb) I have been sitting since 7’O clock. The phone will be disconnected tomorrow. If he should arrive, tell him to leave. Be, have, do, can, may, might, should, will, would, must

ACTIVITY WORK He broke the glass. The glass broke.
He burnt his fingers. He burnt with shame. Stop him from going. We shall stop here a few days. Open all the windows. Birds fly in the air.
