2. It all started on Friday, October 13
It all started on Friday, October 13. I was eating the school pizza, which is GENERALLY safe, but you can never tell. I was chatting with my friends John, Terry, and Jessie. John had eaten six pieces of pizza, and I was still on my first. My piece, unbeknownst to me, had a single hair on it. This single piece of pizza was to cause the deaths of 20 people, and end Carterville High School as we know it.

3. My mother was on vacation, and I was staying home alone for a couple of weeks. My sister was staying with my grandma for the meantime.

4. That night, it started. My cellular structure started to change, mutate into something… primal, unforgiving…. Bloodthirsty.

5. I woke up feeling good, seeing as though John had prescribed a sleep treatment for me consisting of bagpipe music. When I got in the shower that morning, the water turned red. I found that I was covered in blood…

6. This was rather a shock, as you would guess. I know I screamed

7. I had no idea what had happened, but I gave my room a check anyhow

8. A blood mark was on my chest… red… spiked with black… carved by something dark and nonhuman… I touched it and it sent a spike of searing pain through my body…

9. I went in the living room and turned on the News… reports said there had been three twisted, bloody murders the previous night…

10. Could I have somehow been involved
Could I have somehow been involved? I decided to show the mark to Tex, our master mythologist…

11. But that would involve waiting until Monday…

12. So, I decided to text it to him

13. Only to find that it was gone, sunken into my body

14. So I waited…

15. Two more murders that weekend… committed by something with claws and teeth…

16. Two more bloody wakeups…

17. On Monday, I was so relieved… I could finally ask Tex…

18. But, as I found out, he was one of the recently murdered…

20. I was scared… I thought it was me…

21. I couldn’t tell anyone else… except, maybe, my best friend Jessie…

22. When I told him, though, he just laughed…

23. That night… I woke up… In a state unlike any other…

24. I was a werewolf…

25. I looked at my hands… forepaws, maybe… I could tell it was me…

26. I was somewhere near Jessie's house…

27. I ran for home… it was me…. I was a killer…

28. I fell into my bed.. No one could ever know…

29. The next morning, I was back to normal…

30. I went to school that day…

31. I talked to Jessie again… I pulled him to the janitors office and showed him the scar…

32. He believed me that time…

33. I didn’t tell him that I’d been on my way to kill him…

34. He asked how I knew, though…

35. I told him I had woken up and been in werewolf form…

36. He asked “Why don’t you ask Michael?”

37. I didn’t know… Michael wasn’t the kind of guy to believe me…

38. But I pulled him to the side and showed him anyway…

39. He promised me he’d look it up…

40. That weekend, there were 5 murders…

41. I woke up covered in blood twice… my teeth were covered in it…

42. On Monday, Michael told me what he’d found…

43. It was a curse mark… it could be removed…

44. So I asked him how…

45. “Simple, really, Josh. Just need a few things…”

46. So I went on a scavenger hunt…

47. That weekend, five more murders…

48. It was me… as usual…

49. When I returned to school that week, Michael tried to remove the mark… however, something went wrong…

50. I ended up as a wolf in all states…

51. I didn’t know what to do… I was in control of my mind… but…

52. My body was feral…

53. Jessie kept me up on schoolwork… for a while anyway…

54. Then one day…

55. He shot me.

56. It wasn’t anything big, really. Just a shotgun shot…

57. Didn’t even have any silver in it…

58. I got back up… it had traced a bloody cross in my chest…

59. My body started to change back and forth…

60. But it blew me into the wall…

61. I finally stabilized as a werewolf… much less threatening though…

62. My nights of terror were over…

63. It was done… gone… over…

64. I shift to human about once a month…. But if you want proof…
