5 Give them a Challenge Teams are given:
Set of ingredients Receipt Educational resources From the ingredients, teams have 40 minutes to: Discover their ingredients Develop a recipe Prepare the recipe Develop a presentation Teams then give a presentation to a judging panel

7 Outcomes As a results of participating in the food challenge, youth are: Using what they’ve learned to cook at home Making healthier food choices Changing the way they handle and prepare food Reading nutrition fact labels Gaining valuable leadership skills, such as: Making better leadership decisions Developing comfort in working with others Serving in a leadership role Listening to others Following through on obligations Developing speaking skills
