KDK Kids. First VACATION CARE PROGRAM June / July Vacation Care 2017 Little Rascals

2 Useful Information OPEN We are opening between 6am and 6pm on: Monday 26th June – Friday 30th June 2017 Monday 3rd July – Friday 7th July 2017 COST Bookings and payments required by 16th June $42.50 per child per session LATE BOOKINGS – CHARGED AT $46.00 PER CHILD PER SESSION Child Care Benefit subsidy applies – please enquire about rates EXCURSIONS Charges are in addition to care fees and are set at a rate to cover excursion expenses including additional staff. Please complete permission forms and return prior to excursion. If you need to contact us about the excursion, please phone to speak to Tracy or for Karen . BOOKINGS Please complete excursion booking forms and return with full payment to KDK.Kids.First – Burrowes. To assist with the rostering of staff, confirming excursion numbers and catering, please book children in as soon as possible. OUTSIDE ACTIVITES Please provide written permission if your child/children need to leave the program to attend other activities. MEALS Breakfast and afternoon tea is provided. Menus are displayed for your perusal at each centre. Children need to bring morning and lunch. Please ensure you pack enough food for the day. If KDK.Kids.First has to supply morning or afternoon tea to children who do not bring it from home, a charge of $5.00 per snack may be billed to your account. MEDICATION If your child/children are required to take medication while at the centre, you must supply a letter from your doctor and complete “Medication Authorization Form”. Medication must be supplied in the dispensed container labeled with your child’s name, dosage etc. No other medication will be given. PERSONAL BELONGINGS Children can bring games and toys from home; however, KDK.Kids.First takes no responsibility for lost or damaged items. SUN SAFETY If children wish to play in the sun, they must have an approved hat and wear suitable clothing. Sunscreen will be applied as deemed necessary by staff.

3 An important message to parents/caregivers
At KDK we serve BREAKFAST each morning until 7.30am sharp and we provide AFTERNOON TEA each afternoon. Please do not send food for your child’s lunch that needs cooking or reheating e.g. noodles, pizza etc. It is important that you send enough food each day for your child. If we are required to supply snacks for your child $5 will be billed to your account for each time food is supplied, other than breakfast and afternoon tea. Kind regards, KDK Kids First Management

4 The children have indoors and outdoor games to choose from as well.
MONDAY 26th June 2017 TUESDAY 27th June 2017 WEDNESDAY 28th June 2017 THURSDAY 29th June 2017 FRIDAY 30th June 2017 Today we will be making beautiful pipe cleaner snowflakes, along with mitten, hot chocolate and beanie craft. The children will be able to choose from other indoor and outdoor activities. The children will be making melting snowmen, penguins and paddle pop snowflakes today. There is also an assortment of sporting, dance, and quiet activities on offer. Polar animal crafts are on the program today. We are making polar bears, penguins, and snow owls today. An assortment of winter crafts are on the program today. We will be making penguin poppers, artic foxes and winter dress up crafts. The children have indoors and outdoor games to choose from as well. $15 Today is our indigenous incursion. The children will take part in indigenous crafts, music and story telling.

THURSDAY 6th July 2017 FRIDAY 7th July 2017 We are celebrating NAIDOC week at KDK. Today the children will be making dot painting serpents, scratch board boomerangs, Australian map sand art along with an assortment of other activities. Today we are recreating Aboriginal art with powder paint, Australian animal crafts and leaf paintings. The children can choose from other activities such as playground, courts, home corner, handball etc. Our little rascal boys will be making didgeridoos, the girls making Torres Strait Islander flower headband they will also be making leaf and bark paintings. The children will be able to choose from other indoor and outdoor activities. Aboriginal totem crafts, Indigenous masks, NAIDOC wooden pendants, rock art stenciling is on the program for today. There is also an assortment of sporting, dance, and quiet activities on offer. Excursion $35 Today we are off to the Darling Downs Zoo – Home of the White Lion. We will send more information home closer to the date.
