Why do you think scientists need to think about scales?
What scales will we need to understand to explain the burning of ethanol?
Compare water and ethanol at the atomic-molecular scale. What do you know, what do you want to know? Explain how you know.
Add these similarities/differences to your Venn diagram from yesterday.

5. Homework:
Each person at your table select a different website to explore scales. In journal write down one example from each of the four benchmarks.
