Used what nature had to survive or known as natural resources.
Had to adapt or change lifestyle due to a difference in environment and climate.
People could not agree on things so they split into 10 cultural groups. Each had a different way of life.

Native Americans believed that everything in nature had a spirit: animals, rocks, trees, etc…
Native Americans adapted to the land to provide them with their needs.
