Assign facilitator Define topic Agree on stop time Agree on method for recording ideas (index cards) Go in a circle (interruptions are OK) Build on ideas of others No stopping to evaluate Sometimes, people pass a tennis ball.

Group brainstorming Form a group of 4 to six students
Rotate turns, passing a pen to mark whose turn When it is your turn, read one idea off your card, then think of one more idea based upon ideas you have heard from others If you get stuck, just pass the pen
