2. Purpose
The purpose of this class is to highlight the different payroll options available for management to accurately track payroll expenses within the software.

3. Payroll Challenges Accurately expensing/allocating job or well costs

4. Time Clock Imports
WolfePak has many different time clock imports to eliminate the manual calculation of time cards.

Defined layouts to provide any timekeeping system.

5. Tracking Payroll Expense
Departments
Fill in the Department sub-table in Payroll/Basic Options/GL Tab
Specify the Department and Expense Sub-Account for each employee on the Employee Master/ Name Addr Tab
This will allow you to see expenses by department on reports in order to track and perform analytical functions.

6. Tracking Payroll Expense by Jobs/Wells
“L” Coding Option- Allocate salary and hourly payroll and taxes/deductions to acct/subs during a cycle.
Coded on the Earnings Detail Code for the Debit (Expense)
Accrual Accounts-Optional Company Costs-Code on the Company Cost- Debit/Expense Option.
Code the job/well in Enter Pay Summary.

7. Payroll Time Entry Options
Flexibility defined by settings in Master File Maintenance
General Option:
Purpose - used for inputting time by jobs, leases, etc. Ability to import time into payroll. Enter: Date, Pay Code, Job# and hours.
Payroll: Payroll pulls directly from file, no export.

8. WPTE
Time Entry
This module is used by companies that want to input time by drilling rig or tower and then import the time into WolfePak’s Payroll system.
Ability to create export file that user then imports into payroll.
The WPTE setup requires the department setup by Rig and Job.

9. WPTE (cont.)
Enter PTE Job Options on the Other Tab in the Employee Master.
Enter the rig in the Dept. field for WP to populate all employees assigned to that rig and their shift.
Enter hours worked.
Notice that Yard can be set up as a job for time to be entered also.
Feeds into Drilling Costs Analysis Report in the General Ledger module.

12. Service Ticket
Service Ticket also has a way to do time entry. Enter tickets for jobs worked along with hours that the employees worked. Has ability to export into payroll.

Code labor information on the Labor tab
Print Tickets, Assign Invoices, and Update Invoices as normal.
Run Extract Hours to Payroll-Choose “Yes” to create import file for Payroll.
