8 What activities/tasks do I plan for this session?
Activities/tasks need to correspond to your objective fit with your strategies/ approaches fit the child’s developmental age and interest

9 What material do I need? Real objects – picture cards
Older children: Written material Tangible reinforcers? Presentation of toys

10 What do I expect to happen?
Consider what the child can realistically do during the session. What kind of support will be necessary so that she/he can be successful.

11 What will I do if things don’t go as expected?
Step-up - Child is doing better than you expected Need to decrease the supports Make the task more difficult. Step-down - Child is doing less than you expected Need to increase the supports that you are providing Make the task easier.
