2. Low DEF Level Programming Change
Cummins has moved from 3 Low DEF warning levels to 2 levels.
Cummins engine software changes between MY16 programs and many MY17 programs drive changes to VEPS and Insite interfaces.
This will require OEMs to manage which version of tools they use to program the Low DEF Warning levels and also adjust VEPS par files and/or Insite Templates to avoid programming errors.

4. Details
Recently released VEPS only supports programming of 2 DEF warning levels.
Previous version VEPS will support programming of 2 or 3 DEF warning levels.
VEPS will support 2 or 3 DEF Warning Levels when released
Insite only supports 3 DEF Levels. Use Insite 8.2 when released to program 2 or 3 DEF Levels.
If using Insite Features and Parameters Trims to update most Beta engines to LP software, you must use Insite 8.2 or VEPS to set VEPS ID 50170, Insite Aftertreatment Diesel Exhaust Fluid Warning Level.
OEMs should use a new par file/Insite template for most MY17 products starting at limited production. (Program applicability previous slide)
