1 How do students access IFL?

2 The IFL student portal can be found at: https://portal. sp. tutormate
I have asked for this to be added to the student portal page for each elementary building, so students will only need to click on the IFL icon once it is active. You can also add it as a shortcut on the Chromebooks if you’d like (let me know if you need help with that!).

3 Type in your username (email address) and password (Raiders1).
Note: This will only work if you have already changed your password and created your roster using the directions that were previously sent. I have been told that you will only have to do this step the first time a device is used. Please have your Chromebooks save your username/password for this site so that students are able to log in easier if it is somehow gets logged out. **

4 The next screen will ask you to “select players”
The next screen will ask you to “select players”. One to three students can play (using one device) at a time. Each student will receive only the content they are working on in their reading stage. For example, if you have someone on a Stage 3 playing with someone on a Stage 5, the Stage 3 player would get CVt words and the Stage 5 player would get CVCe words. They would also each get their individual sight words from their personal reading stage. Students do NOT have to play in groups, but it is an option this year because Partner Station no longer exists.

5 Student(s) select his/her name by clicking on it
Student(s) select his/her name by clicking on it. Students do NOT have passwords this year, so they will need to make sure they click on their name and not the name of a friend.

6 Students then click on “go” to be taken to the games.

7 Students will then be directed to a page of games that they can choose from. All of the games are new this year. An added feature: each month a new game will be rolled out for each reading stage so that students aren’t bored with constantly playing the same games!

8 For your reference, you can also get to the student portal by clicking the link at the top of the tutormate.org website.

9 The “teacher portal-student” link will allow you to see TeacherNotepad content on your Chromebook or iPad and push it out to your students to see on their Chromebooks during small group instruction. More to come on this feature during training!
