Landowner Statements What you need to do
Contact your county or unitary council’s commons registration and ask to be notified of any landowner statements made under section 15A of the Commons Act These maybe combined with landowner declarations under section 31(6) 9 of the Highways Act 1980.

Landowner Statements If the land is eligible to register as a green publicise locally. There is only one year from the date of the statement to make an application

Landowner Statements Since October landowners have been able to submit to their registration authority a statement and map which challenge people’s informal use of land. Once a statement has been deposited and notices posted on the site, local people only one year in which to submit a village green application. If the land is not eligible consider alternative ways of protecting it, such as Local Green Space

Landowner Statements No guarantee the notices will remain in place, one applicant in Kent removed the notices within 24hrs. There is no requirement for them to be replaced. The ONLY way you can be sure of knowing about the landowners statements is by asking your council to inform you of any landowner statements made under section 15A of the Commons Act 2006.
