Conclusion Some new Member States have already supplied more than some old ones On average, about 60 percent of the variables have been supplied Hopefully things will still improve in the course of 2004 Only data sent for period 4 (1999 to 2003) has been taken into account in the statistics

Interpretation As one would expect, car thefts occur more often per head of population in large cities than in medium-sized cities. However, there are many large cities where car thefts are in fact less frequent than in certain medium-sized cities

Interpretation There are in general more doctors per inhabitant in cities than nationwide There are though a few exceptions, which might be surprising In Germany there are more doctors per inhabitants than in France

Interpretation The proportion of self employed is quite stable between 4 and 10 percent, i.e. the indicator shows less variation than others In large cities the proportion of self employed is slightly higher than in medium sized cities
