Budapest is the capital city of Hungary, made up of Buda, Pest and Óbuda, with the Danube River flowing past them, along a stretch of 28 kilometers. The three parts were united in 1873, and became a single city occupying both banks of the Danube. The famous buildings, the green hills of Buda, the wide avenues and shopping centers of Pest, the connecting bridges over the river really make Budapest one of the most enjoyable cities in Europe.

The Chain Bridge was the first permanent stone-bridge connecting Pest and Buda. Its offical name is Széchenyi Chain Bridge, because the construction was proposed by Count István Széchenyi. The inauguration of this bridge took place on 20 November It is one of the symbolic buildings of Budapest, the most widely known bridge of the hungarian capital.

Elisabeth Bridge is the third newest bridge of Budapest, across the River Danube. The bridge is situated at the narrowest part of the Danube in the Budapest area, spanning 290 m. It is named after Queen Elisabeth, a popular queen and empress of Austria-Hungary. The bridge was the widest one in the world and hold the world record for 25 years.

The Hungarian Parliament Building is the seat of the National Assembly, one of Europe's oldest legislative buildings, a notable landmark of the country and a popular tourist destination. It lies on the bank of the Danube and it is currently the largest building in Hungary.

One of the famous parts of the building is the sixteen-sided central hall with huge chambers adjoining it, the Lower House where the Assembly meets today and the Upper House which is built in The Holy Crown of Hungary, which is also depicted in the coat of arms of Hungary, has been displayed in the central hall since 2000.

The fortress or citadel was built in 1854 ( after the hungarian revolution and war of independence in ) by Julius Jacob von Haynau, who was a commander of the Habsburg Monarchy. Its aim was to intimidate the inhabitants of Budapest, not to make a war again. The citadel is 220 metres long and lies on the Gellért hill. In 1987 it became a part of the World Heritage by UNESCO.

Heroes Square is one of the major squares of Budapest, rich with historic memories. Its iconic statue complex, the Millennium Memorial, was completed in 1900, the same year the square was named "Heroes' Square". It lies at the end of Andrássy Avenue (with which it comprises part of World Heritage), next to City Park. Since 2008 the „Nemzeti Vágta”,National galopp, which is a three day long horse race and show, is taking place here.

Buda Castle is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings, first completed in In the past, it was also called Royal Palace. Buda Castle was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill, bounded on the north by what is known as the Castle District, famous for its Medieval, Baroque, and 19th-century houses, churches, and public buildings. Nowadays it houses the National Galery, Budapest History Museum, Ludwig Museum and the National Széchenyi Library.

The Halászbástya is a terrace situated in Buda Palace, around Matthias Church. It was designed and built between 1895 and 1902 on the plans of Frigyes Schulek. Its seven towers represent the seven tribes of the hungarian Conquest in the Carpathian Basin in 896. The Bastion takes its name from the guild of fishermen that was responsible for defending this stretch of the city walls in the Middle Ages. A bronze statue of Stephen I mounted on a horse, erected in 1906, can be seen between the Bastion and the Matthias Church.

St. Stephen's Basilica is a Roman Catholic basilica. It is named in honour of Saint Stephen, the first king of Hungary, whose right hand, the Saint Right is housed in the reliquary. This is the most important church building in Hungary and the third highest building in Hungary. The basilica has played an active role in the musical community since its consecration in In the past century the Basilica has been home to choral music, classical music as well as contemporary musical performances. The Basilica choir performs often in different parts of Europe as well as at home. The basilica has six bells named after hungaian saints.

The National Theatre is the main theatre of Budapest, and the largest such institution in Hungary, opening originally in The current home, the new National Theatre opened in 14 September The idea of a national theatre in the capital was formed around the turn of the 18th-19th century, promoted by several great thinkers. The theatre first opened on August 22, 1837 under the name Theatre of Pest. Its goals were to give birth to the national drama, and to showcase classics of world literature. Nationalized in 1840, the name was changed to National Theatre.

City Park was created in the first decades of the 19th century the present-day name was accepted and it became the first public park in the world. It has the largest artificial ice surface in Europe and it's the centre of Hungarian bandy.The Bandy World Championship 2004 was held here and also the Bandy World Championship for women The park used to host motorsport events in the 1950s. City Park is home to one of the world famous Budapest spas, the Széchenyi Thermalspa.

Váci street is one of the main pedestrian thoroughfares and perhaps the most famous street of capital. It features a large number of restaurants and shops catering primarily to the tourist market. Váci utca is one of the main shopping streets in Budapest. The street opens to Vörösmarty Square where the worldwide known Christmas Fair takes place.

Visegrád is a small castle town, which is famous for the remains of the Early Renaissance summer palace of King Matthias Corvinus and the medieval citadel. The name Visegrád is of Slavic origin meaning "the upper castle”.The summer palace has three parts: the upper catle, the lower castle and the royal palace.

The Danube Bend is a curve of the Danube, close to the city of Visegrád. It is often considered as one of the most beautiful portions of the river.

The Great Hungarian Plain (also known as Alföld or Great Alföld) is a plain occupying the southern and eastern part of Hungary and it is the largest part of the Pannonian Plain. The most important river of the plain is Tisza. The notable cities and towns are Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló, Szolnok and Szeged. Among the cultural festivals and programmes characteristic of the region are the Csángó Festival, the Goulash Festival, the Bridge Fair, the Open-air Games, the Castle Games or the Flower Carnival in Debrecen.

Hortobágy is a national park in Eastern Hungary, rich with folklore and cultural history. The park, a part of the Alföld, was designated as a national park in 1973 (the first in Hungary), and elected among the World Heritage in 1999. The Hortobágy is Hungary's largest protected area, and the largest natural grassland in Europe. Hortobágy is a steppe, a grassy plain with cattle, sheep and horses, tended by herdsmen, and it provides habitat for various species.

One the most iconic sites of Hortobágy is the Nine-holed Bridge. The bridge was built between 1827 and 1833 in a Classical style. The entire length of the stone bridge measures metres. The entrance to the bridge on each side is broader, thus making the life of the herdsman easier as approaching animals bering herded onto the bridge entered the funnel shaped opening of the bridge.

Lake Balaton is a freshwater lake in the Transdanubian region. It is the largest lake in Central Europe and one of its foremost tourist destinations. The mountainous region of the northern shore is known both for its historic character and as a major wine region, while the flat southern shore is known for its resort towns. Balatonfüred and Hévíz developed early as resorts for the wealthy, but it was not until the late 19th century when landowners, began building summer homes to rent out to the burgeoning middle classes.

If you don’t want to go see historical places, you can just go for a shipcruise on Lake Balaton. But if you would like to sightseeing, nearby Balaton there are lot of places that worth visit. One of the most popular tourist destinations is Tihany where you can find the Tihany Abbey and the Doll Museum for example. If you want some entertainment you can go to Balatonfűzfő where you can try out bobbing or you can go to an Adventure Park.
