3. [1] THE RIGHT FOUNDATION
“Let us not give up the habit of being together, as some are doing, but let us encourage one another all the more as you see the Day approaching.” [Heb 10:25]
This verse is talking about the day God’s family becomes final
In that day it won’t matter how popular, rich, liked, famous, powerful or successful you are – only two things will matter
That day is this -

Jesus died to restore
God’s plan for family for you
God’s plan for you is way bigger than you
In his family, you will accomplish more than you

5. “Because of what Jesus has done, you are not foreigners or strangers any longer; you are now fellow-citizens with God’s people and members of the family of God.”
(Ephesians 2:18-19, GNB)

6. We are on this earth
to get God’s final family
ready to be with Him forever

(Hebrews 9:27-28)
The day Jesus returns
or your life returns to God
On that day – at the end of your life on this earth
Only three things are going to matter
It’s not going to be your dress size, football team or XBOX
Its going to be Jesus, heaven and people
Because we are on this earth to get God’s final family ready to be
We give our life back to the God who created it in
Your life and mine is not our own.
We are a borrowed library book, a leased car, red box dvd
We are not the owner of our own breath or soul
One day we return our souls to the one who created it
That day is coming. No matter what society and history seem like

9. “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people . . .

10. . . . and Jesus will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
(Hebrews 9:27-28)
Jesus came the first time to die for our sins.
To pay our Father for the damage done to what He owns
He rose again – showing that he truly was God and payment more than enough
On the cross he defeated every enemy of our soul
He defeated sin, pain, death, injustice, fear
He defeated them – and when he comes again he will destroy them
Until then –we choose by faith whose family and future we want

13. “if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. . .
That day will lead to another day

14. . . . For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
(Romans 10:9-10)
Don’t believe in a church. In a family member – believe in Jesus
So important because because believing in Jesus isn’t just about being agood person

15. “The Day” leads to The Great White Throne Judgement
(Revelations 20:11-15)

16. “Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it
“Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. Earth and sky fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne . . .
That day will lead to another day

17. . . . and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done [with Jesus] as recorded in the book . . .
That day will lead to another day

18. . . . If anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
(Revelations 20:11-15)
That day will lead to another day

19. The Question God Will Ask You
“Did you become part of my family through My Son?”
(Are you part of My family)
What would happen if you returned a library book damaged
Corrupted the dvd
Crashed the leased car
What would the owner expect? You owe him
You’d owe what you borrowed him
But the beauty of the gospel is – Jesus gave perfect life back for you
You come to the end of life – at peace with the owner

20. For those who have believed in Jesus, there is another day
The Judgement Seat
Of Christ

21. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body . . .”
(2 Corinthians 5:9-10)
That day will lead to another day

22. The One Question God Will Ask “Did you make a difference
in bringing others
into my family?”
That day will lead to another day

23. “The fire of God’s holiness will show if a person’s work has any value
“The fire of God’s holiness will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward.”
(1 Corinthians 3:13-14)
That day will lead to another day

25. We are called
to make a difference
in God’s final family.

28. You can encourage others by [1] Taking Your “Next Step”
[2] Supporting Another’s Next Step
[3] Serving in Another’s Next Step
Your next step – your step will impacts so many / don’t wait for others / be the beginning
salvation – do have the right foundation
Water baptism /
You joining that marriage class, or singles group, or ministry team
Another’s step – I see the difference you are making
- offer to go with them to a group
Serving – church is a change to make an eternal difference –join a minstry
