Sharing experience of policy and advocacy; Pressure on decision-makers and legilators; Research collaboration – evidence of value of physical education, contributions of sport science - brain development studies, influence on school attendance, behaviour, academic achievements - SpInEd study. Policy community stimulate research and writing on policy PROCESS (as opposed to retrospective analysis of policy texts). Strategy ideas, eg afPE Manifesto on Physical Education – sets out policy objectives, related to systemic weaknesses in delivery system.

7 MAKING THE CASE FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION
Strong NGOs – recognising their primary purpose in representing interests of physical education, challenging GOs and policy; Ensure strong, sustainable national networks – judgements whether pressure groups required, or mainstreaming, or both; Keep together, academics and activists, with those responsible for policy implementation. Build a national and international policy community, including researchers.
