8 Negative Space Negative space is a compositional tool used in both two- and three-dimensional work. The simplest way to describe it is as: "space where other things are not present." It is used intentionally to compose a piece of art work and it is also used to check the accuracy of the object we are drawing

13 Task Create a series of quick 5 minute pencil, ink and charcoal outline drawings 3 x 10 minute more detailed outline drawings (1 ink, 1 pencil and 1 charcoal) 3 x 20 minute detailed drawings (1 ink, 1 pencil and 1 charcoal) All must consider muscular and skeletal structure Use negative space to check your composition
