1
Water Cycle -the recycling of water occurs throughout the world
-water is essential for life
2
Water Cycle -evaporation, condensation, and precipitation, and runoff are important components of the water cycle -evaporation (when water becomes a gas) occurs in the ocean, lakes, and other bodies of water
3
Water Cycle -condensation occurs in the upper atmosphere where the gaseous water because a liquid again -precipitation occurs when the liquid water gets dense enough and falls back to the surface of the Earth as rain or snow
4
Water Cycle -runoff is the process by which water deposited over land gets routed back to bodies of water like lakes, oceans, and ground water
5
Water Cycle -transpiration (which occurs in plants) and evaporation can send water on land back into the atmosphere
6
Ecology Cycles How are the water cycle, nitrogen cycle, and carbon cycle similar and different to each other? Use the Venn diagram below to compare them: Water Cycle Nitrogen Cycle Carbon Cycle
