5. SB 1113 The Personal Care Products Safety Act
Small businesses with less than $500,000 in gross sales are exempt
Small businesses that operate out of a personal residence with less than $1M in gross sales are exempt from the bill
Small businesses with over $500K (or $1M for home business) and up to $2M in gross sales – will do a simplified registration with FDA, with no user fees.
Small businesses with over $2M in gross sales will comply fully with the legislation.

6. HR 575 Cosmetic Modernization Amendments of 2017
Small Businesses with less than $1M in gross annual sales are exempt from the legislation.

7. Bill to be introduced by Senator Hatch
Small businesses with less than $1M in annual gross sales AND home based businesses are exempt from the legislation.

8. So what now?
All three bills have until the end of this term of Congress to pass – January 2,
Any bill that does not pass by this date is considered “dead” and must be reintroduced to be considered.
This is the second version of both SB 1113 (Feinstein) and HR 575 (Sessions)
